At this price point, the Vezel Hybrid is one of the most value for money Crossover SUVs in Singapore. Nissan Qashqai, Koleos and most others don't come close. Peugeot 2008 Diesel - perhaps. However, you can't bring that to Malaysia nor can it survive long enough. Subaru XV Cross & Suzuki S Cross are cheaper, but lack the advanced interiors.

I hate 1.5L engines, especially Japanese ones. They struggle under heavier speeds and have this disgusting cry that makes you want to wash yourself off these cars, be polite to the telemarketeer who sells you credit loans and get yourself a Jaguar. It kind of reminds you of how fat you have become since NSF days - now running 2.4km in 15mins makes you so breathless.

Why do 1.5L engines seem to struggle to maintain 90km/h? My 1.8l revvs under 2000rpm at that speed and still sounds so peaceful.

Vezel Hybrid, however, is perhaps one of the top of the mind vehicles for many new car owners like me who want an unstruggling yet frugal car. It doesn't sound like a 1.5l car at all. It's quiet, it feels promising, reliable and gives you that oomph when you want to cut off a torquey taxi.

The closest vehicle I've considered prior to this was the Prius C. Now I may be a big guy loving big cars, but that tiny hatchback with its electric motors had enough torque to keep me zippy on the streets of Japan. As much as i loved it, the size just did not fit my image and that kept me away from buying. The Vezel Hybrid took care of that.. thank god.

While Honda Hybrids used to fall back behind Toyota, some of the main fallbacks were fixed in this generation of Honda Hybrids. It doesn't look dull, it wasn't made with an electric assist motor that you can fancifully call "Rex" and attach to a bmw i3, the engine actually turns off when you are slacking in traffic and finally comes with an electric A/C compressor.

A whole lot of new features also take care of nasty SUV body roll, cornering confidence,

    What I like
Electric A/C compressor lets you sit in the car cooling off without having to run the engine.

Electric AWD keeps me planted even when im powering through corners - lovely stable feel and low bodyroll for a SUV.

Ample Torque to feel like you're in the cousin CRV.

Lovely seating position and advanced cabin feel.

    What I do not like
Foglamps were not bright enough for Genting Fogs. Need to replace them

Small & Nimble Indeed! Excellent small SUV!

I have had the car for over 3 weeks and driven it for almost close to 1400km!
What can i say! Exceptional drive for a 1.5L Earth Dreams engine.
Feels punchy when overtaking and stable enough for daily driving both city and expressway cruising. Engine cut off when stopped fully is a good fuel saving feature.
Going up ramp car park no issue.

Fuel consumption is excellent did half tank with ECON mode @ 380km range! Do note it runs on a 40 liter tank only.
    Lightweight chassis
Spacious interior for a vehicle of this size. Boot space is more than adequate and further ability to expand boot space with collapsible rear and and front seats. The rear seats are also functional enough to to raised up when there is a need to to store things.
Excellent family SUV with many safety features like CBTA (Honda city break Assist) which kicks in when you are driving or breaking too near another vehicle ahead.

Cheapest SUV in town with great road presence! Looks like a coupe with the rear door handles flushed to the back like Alfa Romeo

Japan made and quality finishing enough said!

Will be seeing a lot more Vezel on the road in the coming New Year! :)

    What I like
    Good Road Handling
    Great Electronics and safety devices
    Fuel Efficiency
Flexible boot space -can put two bikes and more when needed
    Spacious interior- comfortably seats 5
    Lightweight chassis
Many options/ models to chose from -please select carefully when making booking.

    What I do not like
    Nothing much to dislike
except the interior can get a little noisy, i can live with that anyway :P

    Compact SUV with Compacted Price.

Driven this new SUV from the PI market, so far is good to drive.

The exterior looks is astonishing and looks compact as its a urban SUV. You might think interior is cramp but until when you see inside, its a surprise.

The styling and the curves certainly brings up the SUV look. For a 1.5L with 129bhp, its the biggest in CAT A that is relatively affordable than the upcoming AD model (PI is Made in JAPAN while AD is Made in THAILAND) that costs much more. You see the difference for yourself and decide.

Interior, is spacious and fully featured. Comes with conti car like features like electric parking brake, 7-speed CVT, touch aircon controls and LED headlamps, 16" original sports rims with CBTA assist (in X and S models only). The back space is comfortable for a reasonable size up to 4 can sit. Push Start is there too. And a charging socket can be found at the back seats for back passengers to charge on the go as well. Well thought of. :)

The drive is comfortable as SUVs are not meant to throttle hard on the pedal. Its meant to cruise and overcome little obstacles only. Only that sound insulation can do better. Otherwise is still acceptable.

Overall, a worth considering SUV to consider than many out there which is better but there is a price to pay. This Vezel is a upmarket car without the upmarket price.

    What I like
    Everything in it.

    What I do not like
Sound insulation can be improved when drive.

Default choice in the Singapore market.

It is really no surprise, seeing the sheer number of them on the road. Swoopy styling and yet practical interior with one of the best class A engines and huge boot. Not many come close. The pi version has a more powerful engine and with Honda build quality, warranty isn't really an issue. Offers more plush ride as compared with fit/jass despite similar chassis foundations. Other than transmission whine and delay, all else is as much as one can get from practical motoring with some pizzazz in Sg.

    What I like
    Looks - those headlights.
Frugality - A little over half tank to KL.
Huge boot - compared with CHR/CX3

    What I do not like
Ride can be crashy of broken surfaces.
Transmission slow to react but at times lungy.. esp in first gear.
